About me

I’m Tim Knight, a UX/UI Product Designer who enjoys working where problems are complex and the answers aren’t obvious. I translate research into structure; information architecture, journeys, and design systems, to help teams make confident decisions and create products that feel clear and trustworthy to use.

My work focuses on complex, multi‑audience platforms where accessibility, trust, and stakeholder alignment matter, particularly within mission‑driven, regulated, or ambiguous environments. I work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to turn insight into clear, usable, and sustainable interfaces.

My route into UX was shaped by a background in theatre, which sharpened my ability to observe behaviour, synthesise feedback, and iterate under pressure. That mindset underpins how I approach research, prototyping, and design decisions today.

Alongside my design work, I’m a Local Leader for the Interaction Design Foundation Southampton group. Since taking on the role, my co‑leader and I have grown the community from 10th to 6th in the UK through regular educational and social meet‑ups that support learning, connection, and professional growth.

I’m based in the UK and motivated by work that tackles complexity, improves accessibility, and contributes to products that genuinely help people.
